About Sandra Julian

“I grew up on a farm in the foothills of the great smokey mountains of North Carolina less than four hours from the Atlantic ocean, and that lifestyle inspires me to this day. I loved the silence and often walked with our pets through fields, down narrow dirt roads and on trails that wound through the property.

Every summer my family vacationed in the Myrtle Beach area and I grew to love the ocean and sandy beaches as well. They were powerful and mesmerizing and have continued to be a big part of my life for solace, inspiration and support.

On the farm we ate from the garden, worked the crops, and played for hours outside in pastures, creeks and the red dirt. We explored wooded valleys, had every animal mom could tolerate - including horses, rode our bikes everywhere, were heavily involved in school sports, and the community. I still live this active lifestyle, though today I shop for mostly organic food at local health food stores, the fields have been replaced by a big yard, and the dirt I plant in - isn’t red.

I walk and run outside every day (unless it’s below 10 degrees here in Minnesota!), love biking, hiking, strength training, mountainous areas of the country, snowmobiling & swing dancing, as well as, time at our Minnesota lakes and the ocean when I travel. As a person of reflection (or ponderer as I call it) I nurture silence - it’s a fertile place of creativity, connection and restoration for me and I spend every day in silence as I work.

During high school things began to change and I realized doors/opportunities were appearing that “I” didn’t seem to have imagined. The process was surprising at that point, but if it felt right and I made the choice to go through the door, I usually saw other options as well and often the need for more training.

A transformational process, a forward motion - moving me beyond what I’d known - had been initiated for sure, and this required a plan, a bridge, a map - a loose, strategic, design to get from where I was to where I was going. My desire and, most importantly, continued willingness over the years to be open, to learn and grow, to bring in mentor’s and teachers as guides to push the edges of my comfort zone, to take steps courageously through trusting the process - continues to expand my life, awareness & vitality in ways I couldn’t have imagined.

This whole life long journey started in the beauty, silence and space of the farm and the mesmerizing beaches of the Atlantic ocean with my family and community when I was a child. What an amazing experience. It wasn’t without challenge, but I understand now that rich, beautiful & confusing time was the beginning of my training. My LIFE school. It took a long time to be grateful for the difficulty, but I finally understood it pushed me to question - to separate internally from what I had believed to be true. That first step of separation created an opening - for possibility - for more. I’ll forever be grateful.

I’ve overcome a lot because I’ve wanted more for my life and have been willing to do the work.

I’m committed to continual growth, opening into my full potential, and am passionate about empowering others to do the same. The payoff is nothing short of extraordinary.” -Sandra
