“When I hit rock bottom during my mid 30’s after ‘having it all’ and still feeling completely empty, with no idea how to access more or why I should stay on the planet, I stepped away from my life and went back to the area where I grew up - Blowing Rock, North Carolina - to the small village right down the street from Chetola Resort.

Somehow aware that I couldn’t think or feel or have clarity about anything until I created some space, I moved to the one place I’d always loved and had felt nurtured by. The area and a rented condo in the heart of the village became my nest and safe space.

Over the next year, supported by the energy and beauty of the mountains and two professionals in Santa Fe I’d hired to help, I dove in to my “lostness” head first. The page turned on my life right there in that small beautiful town while walking the trails, listening to the wind blow through the trees and gazing at the stars through the clear, dark skies. Blowing Rock & Chetola Resort were and still are a beloved haven for me offering space for reflection and growth. This is where I consciously and willingly created the - next chapter of my life.
